I decided to do a drawing of two local heros, Randy Grim and his dog Quentin. Randy founded an animal rescue group called Stray Rescue. Quentin is the dog who survived the gas chamber. The woman at the pound couldn't believe it when she opened the chamber and saw Quentin alive. Randy wrote a book about his story - it's pretty amazing! Having Quentin for a "spokesdog" has helped Randy bring the issue of how inhumane gas chambers are and got it banned here. (It should be banned everywhere!!) I have met them both and they are both inspiring. Check them out at www.strayrescue.org
